I haven't been this excited about a new band in a long time. These guys are great. When we reached out to the guys in Driv.in.by to get them on Kill the Locals we quickly found out they haven't skipped a beat when it came to getting music out. We talked to Nick D who had been all over the place from Philly to California and back again. He joined the band From Philly and started organizing local shows again. I first met him when he was in Driv.in.by back in 2003 and then in 2007 when he opened up a skate shop in town we reconnected.
when he dropped off some stuff from Driv.in.by he told me to look up For Ages because that's where Nick O from Driv.in.by ended up. Within seconds I was hooked. These guys are fucking amazing. There's hints of Lifetime and The Jazz June (Two of my all-time favorite bands) and they production and quality was just perfect. Nick O has always had such a great voice. It always carried the heart of the song on and conveyed the emotion the lyrics described. When we reached out to the guys Steve got right back to us and was just as excited to be involved with Kill the Locals as we were to have them on board! It's one of those things where it works out perfectly from the start.
They are a band that implore everyone to check out. They're amazing people, amazing musicians, amazing writers and beyond all of that their energy and passion for music is infectious. I can't get enough of them now that I've been introduced!
