about

Volume Three has finally arrived. Originally we were going to start working on Volume Three over the summer, but like most things it got pushed off until we had the free time to finally put it all together.

As always we like to start the comps off with one of our favorite bands, Chem D. Jason is now playing in the Semi Originals so we also added them to this compilation.

Now if you remember Wolfie Burns and liked them you should dig the next two bands featured on the album. Bottlecaps and Trophy Lungs both feature members of Wolfie Burns. You can check out more from both bands too!

FM Waves have also been featured on previous comps and they're releasing a brand new song for this compilation that will soon be a part of their brand new album. It should be coming out within the next few months so stay tuned!

White Oleander have recently gotten back together too after taking a little bit of a break. We figured we'd include another song of theirs and wish them well on everything they're doing in the year to come.

Stressbomb and Dead End Saints are two bands that we've been friends with for years. They are both getting put on Kill the Locals in the next couple of weeks so we figured we'd also include both bands on the comp too! Come back soon to hear more from both bands.

Stressbomb we met back in 2008 and quickly started doing shows together since we had so much fun together. Dead End Saints we met back in 2005. We were playing a lot of shows with them during the many years Toxic Sunshine was playing. Frankie is a great dude and we can't wait to finally unleash the Dead End Saints arsenal on the distro!

What kind of compilation would this be without the band that made this distro happen, Carbomb Creepshow? Enjoy another song from these guys! Jeff Kosa is now playing drums in another band, Wondertaker, and Salty Creepshow is playing in Grass. We included Grass on this release too so give them a listen too!

We added the final Tube Disasters release almost a year ago so we figured we'd include a song from that as well. If you haven't listened to that album yet I think you should take a second to turn your speakers up as loud as they can go and then jump over to the album End of the World by Tube Disasters..

We included another Toxic song that kind of fit with the songs leading up to it. Since we added the latest batch of songs from Nick Wilson we figured we'd add a newer song from him, Bad Year. I thought it was funny that I had also recorded a song back in 2010 called Bad Week so I put the two of them together. Dan from Toxic Sunshine had also released a solo EP of his own so we added two of his songs as well. It was first release under the Daniel P. Casanova title as he dropped "Dang" as his solo moniker.

The Loud Company are back again for this comp too! I met Paul who plays drums for the band when I was still living in Manayunk. He's still one of the nicest guys I've ever known and I'm stoked to be able to stay in contact with him and play shows together! Travis from Loud Company is also in a band called the American Myth so we've added them too!

The Pizza Monsters were another addition we made to the Kill the Locals family not too long ago. We wanted to make sure that this amazing project from Tom Ihle was featured on Volume Three too! This is my favorite song from him too so I hope you dig it!

The Backyard Superheroes are the newest to be introduced by Kill the Locals. We played a show with these guys only a few months ago, but they're awesome guys in an awesome band! We had a blast hanging out with them and we wanted to make sure they got on the comp.

The Awesome Forces! are another band we've known for years. They broke up awhile back, but we always loved them! A year ago or so we reached out to them to see if they'd like to be apart of Kill the Locals and they were happy to jump on.. It's just took us awhile (I think I've already stated how things get pushed off frequently) to finally get them on here. This is one of the last songs they put out.

We included Good Times from the Preps as well. This version was from the 2015 Remixed + Remastered version of the 2004 album, A New Beginning. This was the first song I ever heard from them too. I think I met them back in 2004.

George Harden is one of my all time favorite writers, musician, and person really. He's just a great guy. He's lived a life full of ups and downs, good moments and bad moments, but he's always had a really strong heart and I love him to death. We included my favorite song of his on this album too.

Lastly, we end the compilation with Amrev II. Another group of guys I met back in 2005 that are just super fucking nice, down to earth and amazing people. Ras and Nege invited us into the home on many occasions and they're just two of the most awesome people you'll ever meet. Amrev II, like most bands we know, have gone through many line up changes and stuff, but with all of their different releases they've always maintained that same unique sound. These are two of my personal favorite songs from them.
