This was the first Chem D release I ever got to hold in my hand, which makes it that much more special to me. I'm sure if you talk to Jason anytime in your life he'll be able to confirm that there's one song that I ask him to play constantly every time I've seen them live. It just so happens to be the very first song off this CD! It's been my favorite Chem D song since I heard for the first time.
Sure, this release isn't as polished as their follow up Welcome To Pennsylvania, but these songs will always have a safe spot in my heart. As always the writing is perfect, the music is perfect and the energy is perfect. They can go from one sarcastic stab at the punk rock scene in S Not Punk to the anti religion anthem of The Good News. It's just a perfect mix of brilliance to me.
John E. Knep and I have loved Chem D since we first met them back in 2008 when we started playing shows together. To this day if you ask either one of us who we think the best band in our area is it will always be Chem D!
