about

There isn't any other story that can compare to any story I have about meeting any of my friends that's better than meeting the Tube Disasters. I had just got home from east coast adventure. I was riding buses from here to Florida and back. A whole crew of my friends and I went to Philly to see the Adolescents and outside the club I run into Adam who was wearing a homemade Black Flag t-shirt. I was in similar attire with a homemade Crass t-shirt. Somehow or another we crossed paths and ended up in an alleyway smoking and drinking and talking about music, politics and being in bands. He was in the process of forming the Tube Disasters and I was in the process of reforming Toxic Sunshine. We exchanged info and said when our bands get everything together we'll play our first show together. That was July and by September we booked our first show in Easton at the Quadrant Book Store And Coffee House.

They played majority of these songs at that show. This was their first real release. I was lucky enough to get it sent to me not too long ago after not having it since 2006. I honestly remembered the songs and the words, but I could only hear them in my mind. Adam went on a search and found them for me, which truly made my night.

For years Adam was referred to as Mr. Dookaloo too me and even now I tend to call him that. I just think it's amazing how almost 10 years later the Tube Disasters old material gets to reside here with the Kill The Locals distro. He's moved onto other things since though.

He is currently in a band called the X-Hunters and working on putting another project together soon. It's one friendship that truly stood the test of time. The Tube Disasters and Toxic Sunshine played together from 2005 to 2008 and every second of it was awesome.. Except that one time in Dan Reda's basement..
